The great Trinidadian Geoffrey Holder, dancer, painter, director, costume designer, choreographer, chef, author, actor, and husband of Carmen de Lavallade, was a close friend of Raymond, Eleanor, Susan and Laura Jacobs. The creation of the musical TIMBUKTU was a Broadway miracle as he directed, choreographed, and costume designed the entire ensemble. The show premiered at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in 1978 and starred Eartha Kitt, William Marshall, Gilbert Price, Melba Moore and Gloria Swanson.
Geoffrey designed a stunning wedding gown when Laura got married along with beautiful outfits for Eleanor and Susan. There was only one Geoffrey Holder. - Eleanor Jacobs
